CPS Teacher Homebuyer Assistance

In addition to the other programs offered to Chicago homebuyers, we have a terrific program that can be used in conjunction with some of our other most popular grant programs and other programs with that require little or no down payment.

Now, qualified CPS teachers can now get up to $7,500 in homebuyer assistance if they qualify.

Each Eligible CPS Teacher Must Be:
• A highly-qualified CPS teacher for at least one academic year
• Committed to teach an additional five years at CPS
• A first-time homebuyer in Chicago with homeownership education certificate

The Assistance Is:
• $7,500 to purchase/live in a new CHA mixed-income development
• $3,000 to purchase/live anywhere else in the City
